basil pesto


This weekend I massacred another basil plant and ground it up in my food processor. As with many things I make regularly my method is to instinctually toss things together. Garlic, pine nuts (toasted for a few minutes in a pan), handfuls of fresh basil leaves, half a lemon, olive oil, salt and pepper and parmesan. So good.
